FAQs
What Are Wax Melts & How Do I Use Them?
Wax Melts are chunks of wax moulded into different shapes with specific fragrance oil. Once this wax melt has been put into a wax melt burner, the fragrance will begin to release to and fill the room to make it smell amazing.
Simply take a piece of wax melt (if you have purchased heart or flower melts) or snap a piece off (if you have purchased a clamshell or snap bar) and put it into your burner, light a tea light underneath and smell the magic happen.
Wax melts differ from candles because as you burn and melt a wax melt, it is the fragrance oil that is burnt away. Once the fragrance has weakened or gone, let the wax cool, remove and replace and melt the new piece of wax melt you have selected.
What is frosting?
Frosting is a natural occurrence on Soy Wax Melts. We try and avoid frost by pouring at a specific temperature which works for our wax, but sometimes it just happens even with all of the techniques we use to stop it.
Frosting does not affect the quality of the wax melt or the fragrance itself. We understand frosting may look a little unattractive, this is a natural process due to using Soy Wax.
We hand pack our wax melts and pick out any melts which have frosting, but some may slip by. If you receive a wax melt with frosting, please don't judge by the appearance, as it is what's inside that counts and the fragrance will make it up to you.
How Does Blissful Moments Pick Their Fragrances?
When we think it is time to release a new fragrance we ask our customer base on our Facebook & Instagram accounts what fragrance they would like to see from us next.
We formulate a list from the answers we are provided and then visit our fragrance oil supplier directly. We individually smell each fragrance to check whether the fragrance smells like it is named but also to see how strong the fragrance is.
Once we have checked the fragrance and are happy, we begin making and testing the fragrances to find how strong the scent throw is as well as how long it lasts.
We go through this process for each fragrance oil to ensure our customers get only the highest quality wax melt and value for their money.
What Wax Does Blissful Moments Use?
Blissful Moments has trailed multiple different wax types and the one we and our customers have to love and favour is Eco Soy Wax, which is specially designed for making wax melts. The Eco Soy Wax we use has a huge wide of benefits which include:
- Natural
- Vegan
- Cruelty-Free
- Non-Toxic
- Biodegradable
- Sustainable
- Made in the UK
this allows us to make high-quality wax melts whilst ensuring being as environmentally friendly as possible.
Soy Wax is made from Soybeans and due to their composition means the wax last longer than other wax, has a better scent throw which lasts even longer due to burning at a cooler temperature.
